Qdos Service Commitment

The factor that distinguishes Qdos as a Legal Expenses Insurer is that the roots of Qdos lie in consultancy. Qdos has a substantial and well established team of tax consultants, employment litigators, human resource and health and safety consultants as well as a legal team. Many other legal expenses providers outsource these functions.

An often heard criticism of legal expenses insurance is that claims can be refused where the insured does not take prior advice and only notifies the incident when the issue has progressed to legal proceedings.

To counter this, Qdos regularly communicates with the insured by means of bulletins through the Qdos Employer Defence website. The website, in conjunction with ‘Dial an Expert’ serves as a tool to equip the insured to take proper steps that will reduce exposure to litigation. Additionally, the insured is encouraged into dialogue with Qdos advisors at the earliest opportunity, due to the regular communication.

Despite this, Qdos commit to provide a solution to the insured in any circumstance. In most cases, this will be within the policy terms and will be covered by the insurance. In those circumstances where the incident is clearly outside the policy terms, Qdos will offer a solution to the issue by either:

1) Continued guidance of action from the ‘Dial an Expert’ advisory service through to the conclusion of the issue.
2) Low cost and/or fixed fee consultancy to represent the insured business.

Qdos recognise the importance of the broker-client relationship. QED+ is designed to enhance that relationship.
